If you could join us at Cake Angels HQ and design your own product, what would it be? Ooooh, too many ideas! I think I’d design some fashion-inspired 2Ds. Sneaker sprinkles anyone?! Are you a self-taught baker or do you often look online for tutorials? A bit of both. My mum is a great baker (shout out to my mum!) so baking was something I grew up learning. In recent years I’ve developed my skills from online tutorials, tips from the online baking community, and a lot of trial and error. Can you tell us about some of your recent cake decorating obsessions? I’m pretty much obsessed with anything that sparkles or shines so the geode cake/cookie/macaron trend really caught my eye and I just had to have a go. What is your baking goal? Open a bakery? Bake for someone famous? Launch a cookbook? Raise money for charity? I mean, if Beyoncé ordered a cake from me my life would pretty much be complete. (@Beyoncé hit me up!). What would be your ideal/perfect baking set-up? Imagine having all the budget you want and any backdrop/setting in the world. I’d love a HUGE white kitchen with lots of natural daylight for both my mental health and for taking product shots. Oh and Jonathan Van Ness from Queer Eye would ideally be there every day just for chats. What is it about Cake Angels that makes you love being an Archangel? Take the time to find the right angle - even if it means standing on top of the table! 3. Really think about your composition - is there clutter in the background? Would it help to add anything e.g. a plant, cup of coffee, a whisk, etc? Take a picture, review, adjust and repeat until you’re happy! Fave quote you live by? “It’s not the end of the world.” It may be a cliché but the nature of baking is such that things can go wrong ALL. THE. TIME!
