The blog is back for our Bake Off Reactions, and this week it's all about the Danish! In honor of presenter Sandi Toksvig, Danish Week was another first for the series and presented a few pivotal challenges for our bakers. It also seemed to get very emotional in the tent as the quarter-finals played out, making the competition even tougher for everyone fighting for a place in the final. But as usual, the bakers put their competitiveness aside and grouped together to remember last weeks knock-out Jon, donning his signature, Hawaii shirt look, and helping one another with their Danish designs. Even the presenters and Prue had their own patterned uniform for the show. BAE of the Week Before we get stuck in, it's time to announce our BAE of the Week, and this time we're mixing it up. It's none other than Sandi! We thought now would be a great time to show our appreciation for one of our favorite presenters, especially as we all had food envy over them beautiful Danish creations made by the bakers this week. She's served up the sass and humor this series but it was helping hand and kindness towards a crying Kim-Joy last night that helped us make our decision. It seems you lot are backing us too with this one! It was a harsh week for judge's comments and we couldn't help but feel for Kim-Joy, especially as her Danish Pastry was still absolutely incredible! I mean, we shouldn't laugh but this one tickled us. Well done Sandi for helping our girl Kim-Joy through some tough critiques. Shame on you Paul! Clearly someone's been told to rein in the Hollywood handshake and done a complete U-turn with feedback. Bake Off Breakdowns ...and there seems to be only one person responsible on Twitter (the people have spoken)! It wasn't just Kim-Joy put to the test in last night's show. It seemed that all the bakers were pushed to the limit, including Rahul who has had a brilliant track record up until now. Three of Rahul's worst bakes in the competition happened to all land on Danish Week and our fave began to question his place in the semi-finals (we can't look)! Luckily, Noel was on hand to help lighten the situation! We're not entirely sure Rahul 'gets' him though... We definitely appreciated it Noel! Tent Politics on Twitter It was the debate of the series last night on Twitter after Rahul's worst week in the tent still didn't see him being sent home. Some are calling it a fix, a 'Hollywood Hoax', some say Manon's failed attempt to follow the brief was deserving of getting the boot, but we're staying firmly on the fence with this one! Were you #TeamManon or #TeamRahul? Simmer down guys, it's Danish Week. Let's celebrate the beautiful creation of the Danish Pastry, the dessert you can disguise as breakfast at a morning business meeting! After all, Manon's taking her exit pretty well considering... The Caption Awards We've found some pretty good captions this week, here's the top three everyone can relate to. That's another week done and dusted, so it's time to get our patisserie on! Another absolutely fabulous week! I didn’t want to see either Rahul or Manon go 😩 but what’s upsetting me even more than that is that we are at semi-finals next week! I don’t know what I’m going to do when it’s sll finished 😭
