Welcome back Angels, it's good to see you on this fine Bake Off Reactions' Wednesday! Let's talk Vegan Week and it's first appearance on the Great British Bake Off because... wow. There's been nothing but drama surrounding this week's theme, from boycotts to cake collapses. and you guys definitely haven't missed a beat! Whether you're loving Bake Off's take on the latest food trend or staying clear of dairy alternatives for your own recipes, it's fair to say Vegan Week has been one of the most entertaining throughout the series. BAE of the Week Nothing to see here! We would like to dedicate this very special, Cake Angels acknowledgement to one guy and one guy only. Rahul, thank you for providing us with two hilarious and almost miss-able moments this week, we really appreciate it. It's ok Rahul, we've all been there. Turns out everyone is still loving this extremely talented baker and team Rahul is going nowhere. You've found a national treasure here, GBBO. But who was watching closely and noticed how adamant Rahul was that he was leaving in next week's teaser clip?! We won't let this happen (even if it is all prerecorded and the bakers are keeping quiet about the outcome)! Going, Going... GONE! Vegan Week is one baker Ruby will never forget as her top-heavy cake collapsed and laid helplessly on the table, while the contestants had all escaped the tent for some fresh air. It was that moment we watched the wonky bake, drizzled in chocolate, slide slowly off the bottom tier in front of everyone's eyes that we shouted "NOOOO!" at the TV. We're sorry Ruby but it was brilliant. Don't worry, it happens to the best of us, Ruby. ![]() But if there's one thing we can take away from this, is the beautiful moment pre-collapse that saw all of the girls help Ruby steady her cake. Teamwork makes the dream work girls, that's what we love to see! Even Ruby took to Twitter to share her own reaction. Sending you a virtual hug and at least you're still here! Bakers take to Twitter If you don't already follow the bakers on Twitter, you need to start following them. Kim-Joy has been treating us to some on-the-side style bakes dedicated to ex-contestants Jon and Dan (and it's so cute!!) It's also good to see Dan is taking his exit from the show relatively well... What's next? We loved Vegan Week and thought it was a great addition to the show but we were wondering what else GBBO could have in store for us, for the rest of the series? Unfortunately Jon, we don't think a Kebab Week is on the cards this year... So this week we waved goodbye to the brilliant, ballet-baker Jon who will be sorely missed from the competition! Who will be leaving next and is it too early to put our vote on Kim-Joy or Rahul to win? Check in with us next Wednesday for the best of Twitter's reactions to GBBO. Happy baking! We're giving away a GBBO inspired prize every Tuesday for entrants that retweet our latest reactions blog, follow us and tag a friend on Twitter. I’d go for citrus week if I had a choice. So much to do with citrus flavours including my favourite lemon drizzle 😀

What a week!!! Poor Ruby! But what was she thinking! Stacking two identically sized cakes like that! Certainly needed more dowels! She should have listened to Paul! He knows best lol
