Our GBBO Blog is back and this time we’re catching |
The final test was in the form of milk-based Indian sweets for the showstopper. The mishti challenge saw Steph and David battling it out for Paul and Prue’s approval, but it was Steph who took the title as Star Baker (as well a Best Fringe) whilst we said a sad goodbye to Phil (and Norman the gnome). Poor Henry had an ice cream nightmare, but at least, according to Prue, his balls were firm. Plus, did anyone else spot the cheeky hug between him and Alice? Is there romance in the tent? |
This year, we’re celebrating our brand ambassador #bakebosses so keep your eyes peeled for weekly Archangel Showstoppers. Our Dairy Week Cake Angels x GBBO bake comes from trained chef and loyal Archangel, Jess (@whatjessicabakednext). She created this brilliant no-bake cheesecake, topped with caramel sauce and our Zillionaire Sprinkles – a dinner party classic! Want to give it a try yourself? Click here for the recipe. |
Well, 1920s Week was a roaring success. We saw the second Hollywood Handshake of the series as David pulled out all the stops to create an exquisite selection of ‘perfect custard pies’ for the practical, whilst Rosie had a flop, dropping hers on the floor (did anyone else sing ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Tart’ to themselves?). |
When the mood is low, where do you go? To the bar of course! This week’s showstopper came at the perfect time; with a nod to the prohibition era, bakers were tasked with creating a tiered cake using alcohol. Although pina colada proved to be a solid favourite, Helena’s cocktail of choice is a Vampires Kiss (obviously!). Congratulations to Steph who took the title, once again, as Star Baker. |
Great to have the GBBO blog back. Love it
