In a medium bowl beat the butter and caster sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
One at a time, add the eggs, whisking well after each addition.
Finally sift the flour into the mixture and whisk in, along with the baking powder.
Divide the mixture between 3 6” tins and bake for 20 minutes, until the cakes have risen slightly and are lovely and golden. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
For the filling pipe Cake Angels Gorgeous Chocolate Frosting between the layers of sponge.
Cover the side and top of cake in Cake Angels Gorgeous Chocolate Frosting then smooth the edges with a scraper.
Use white and black fondant icing and Cake Angels Flower Power Decorations to create a skull.
With fondant icing create a unicorn horn and paint gold then create ears and paint black and pink. Add them to the top of the cake.
Make meringue buttercream with orange food colouring, then pipe into a unicorn mane.
Use real flowers to create a Day of the Dead design on the cake and use petals to decorate the mane.
Add Cake Angels Trick or Treat icing decorations around the base of the cake.
Mix pink, yellow, orange and green food colouring with icing sugar in separate bowls.
Pipe a nose using the pink icing and decorate the cheeks with green icing.
Use the yellow and orange icing to decorate the eyes and stick Cake Angels Trick or Treat Sprinkles on the design. Decorate the main with the orange and black sprinkles from Cake Angels Trick or Treat Sprinkles.
Cut in half Cake Angels White Mini Marshmallows and stick onto the fondant mouth with leftover icing.
